THE GIRL IN CLINTON "3 AM" SPOT IS AN OBAMA SUPPORTER

This March 8 video is quite a piece of investigative journalism by Joshua Marshall of Talking Points Memo TV: one of the children shown in Clinton Campaign's "3 AM" ad (see below) is now 17, and an Obama active supporter and precinct captain.

GREATEST BARACK OBAMA MUSIC VIDEOS

This so called "Greatest Barack Obama Music Videos" was conceived to attract hispanic voters and aired in Texas. poor quality and silly text had the predictable effect: a complete flop.

HILLARY AS PARTNER

A "populist" commercial by the Clinton's campaign: "The wealthy and well-connected has had a president who works for them for long enough." The video is predictable and, probably, ineffective.

OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN AD IN TEXAS

The week before Texas primaries (March 4), this ad has been constantly on air.

IT'S 3 AM

The politically most influent ad of these primaries: playing on the fears of a still important subgroup, the so-called "security moms," the Clinton campaign took a page from Karl Rove's handbook, and scored big in Texas.

HILLARY AS BIG BROTHER

This is an excellent remake of the world-famous commercial by Apple Computers, used to launch the Macintosh in 1984. This very sophisticated ad was created by an Obama supporter in 2007, many months before the campaign for primaries and caucuses started.

CLINTONS' "SOPRANOS" PARODY

Ironic piece, broadcasted many months before the official opening of the campaign, in part to respond to the accusations of preparing a third Bill Clinton presidency. The location (a 100% American diner) and the characters (a hint to the popular "Sopranos" TV series) stressed the folksy tone Hillary wanted for her campaign

DENNIS KUCINICH, THE LEFT WING

Long interview with Dennis Kucinich, the real liberal candidate at the democratic primaries. At PBS (3 oct 07), he exposes his ideas about Iraq, healthcare and more. But on January 24, after very poor results in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, Kucinich dropped his bid for the Democratic nomination. In charge as superdelegate (as Ohio representative), he is not endorsing any other candidates.

JOHN EDWARDS'S "COURAGE"

The "courage campaign". Populism by John Edwards.

OBAMA DECLARES HIMSELF

This video of January 2007 stresses the main theme of Obama's candidature: change politics. Very low-key in the settings and tone, apparently it resonated with the young

This highly partisan video about the Republican Party "Values" (a long list of politicians and lobbysts indicted or convicted) was posted on You Tube in August 2007, indicating that a new generation of young Democratic activists is mobilizing to battle the establishment of both parties
